I grew up in a small town in central WI (Wild Rose). I attended UW-Eau Claire where I majored in Kinesiology and was a four year starter playing inside linebacker for the Blugold football team. After graduating from UWEC, I attended Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, IA.
I initially wanted to work with athletes and trainers since that was the majority of my background. The further I got into school, I realized there was a MASSIVE problem with how patients were treated following car crashes. This was due to the fact that oftentimes a patient would go to the hospital and get temporary relief with pain pills, muscle relaxers or bracing, but they would be set up for long term chronic injuries due to the fact that the injuries were never fully corrected. Sometimes they would even see a chiropractor, but that chiropractor wasn’t trained to how to specifically treat people injured in a car crash let alone properly handle their case. The more I studied on the topic, the more I learned that if people had received the proper treatment initially, they would rarely suffer with chronic injuries following a crash.
Once I saw this glaring need, this quickly became one of my main focuses in practice.
Now, I do treat other conditions such as low back pain, sciatica, migraines, headaches, bulging or herniated discs, but whiplash and car crash injuries are my passion!
